They both sit in silence for those few moments, Crow just soaking in all of Rean's warmth and touch, memorizing it. As far as he knew, this was his life now. And he was more than okay with that.

His eyes snap open once more, staring at the wall behind them, as if the words were still registering in his brain. It only takes a second longer for the feeling to hit him like a brick, flooding himself with a warmth he'd only vaguely remembered from years ago.
