[He says, staving off further laughter. Thankfully, they're pretty much alone on this sidewalk. So he'll just follow slightly behind Rean's quickened pace.
A lazy senpai, through and through.]
Heh~
I don't, either.
[He blinks, though, looking just ahead.]
That the mailbox? That walk didn't seem as long as usual...
[That little bit of romantic whimsy earns a little laugh, and if his cheeks weren't still tinted pink from before...
He does stop his ticket quest at the mention of how long the double saber is, though, pausing to stare over at Crow.]
Holy... you serious? ...You still haven't shown me that thing, by the way.
[Okay, ticket in the machine! Some whirring, aaaaand... thunk.
When Rean opens the mailbox door, there's the handle of a sword facing out towards him. Carefully, he removes the blade and its sheath from the mailbox (how did it even fit all of this?), holding it gingerly to examine it. He doesn't remove it from the sheath all the way, just enough to examine a bit of the blade, but there are clearly stars in his eyes even from this much.]
Maybe we'll stop back at the house before I walk you back home. It's...it's pretty big.
[It may or may not be in his mini-garage area for lack of an easier way to bring it inside.
But that's for later. Crow lets Rean put in his ticket, hearing the thunk and moving closer to peek over his shoulder.
When comparing it between Rean's old one and this one, it was like night and day. The blade was gorgeous, made of steel that would make the other look like a cheap replica. It had a surprisingly detailed hilt, with purple weaving and red tassles..
Beautiful was a good word for it.]
Whoa...
[No shame at all for those stars, Rean.]
Now that's a blade. [Even Crow sounds boyishly impressed.]
Ah... I want to go practice with this thing so badly, but it's way too late... [He shifts the carrying case off his shoulder, kneeling down so that he can open it and put the new sword inside.] It's almost a shame to have to hide something like this.
[Crow can agree. It's always tempting to want to use a new toy you just got--and despite how...DANGEROUS it was walking home with his weapon, he had to admit there was a certain thrill he got about the fact that he once wielded that thing in a past life.
Crow watches Rean put it into his carrying case, glad that Rean can at least hide his that easily. Crow's? ...it's in his garage. behind as many brooms and mops that he could find.]
Tell me about it.
But hey, I wouldn't mind sparring against you with that beautiful new blade. Eren's been helping me train on how to use it and I think I'm starting to get the hang of it.
[There's definitely a thrill to it. He was the owner of gorgeous blade once, and it's in his hands again. He'll definitely have to put in double the practice if he wants to be worthy of it, he thinks.
But to Crow's offer, Rean's lips quirk up in a smile as he zips up the case and pushes himself back up.]
Ha... you better be willing to keep your word, there. I'd love to see how we fare in this lifetime.
[And he glances at Crow with eyes glinting in a bit of a challenge, but that's quick to fade to something a bit more gentle.]
But, for now, I think Wiffle-Waffle is calling our names.
[Don't you worry, Rean. He's practically flooded with warmth at the term himself. He feels that warmth from Rean's cheeks, and matching it with his own.]
Sounds like a plan.
[How the HELL did he get so lucky to get this boy.

...Good.
[But OH HEY. Their destination!]
Huh? Oh, yeah, there it is! Guess we got distracted, huh?
[Either way, he's gonna jog ahead to the mailbox, hurriedly pulling out the ticket to insert it.]

Lost in each other's company...
[He'll wait behind him as always, watching him put that ticket in.]
Yours'll be way easier to get home than mine was. Mine had to be six...seven feet long...

I won't go easy on you just cause you're my boyfriend, that's for sure.
[He teases, throwing his arms around Rean's shoulders and leaning onto his back.]
But now! Waffles! I want the cinnamon bun ones! Or the one where they put the egg between two of em!
no subject
"Boyfriend." He can't keep the smile off his face.]
I'd never want you to.
[Rean takes Crow's leaning like a champ, just hoisting the case up onto his shoulder and then turning to lead them towards the waffle joint.]
You order one, I order the other, divide and conquer?

Sounds like a plan.

He'll never know.]
